Our Leadership: Experience You Can Trust

Danl Loewen
Award-winning leader, bilingual trainer, executive coach | 30+ Years

Danl Loewen has more than 30 years of experience in Canada and abroad as an award-winning leader, bilingual trainer, executive coach, and motivational speaker. In each role, he maintains a reputation as highly engaging, interactive, people-focused, client-centred and results-oriented.

He held executive roles in business, not-for-profits, and the public sector before being recruited by the Canada School of Public Service (CSPS) to help rejuvenate its Director General Orientation program. During seven years as CSPS Executive Faculty, he co-designed and delivered in-person and virtual training, large-scale events, and psychometric coaching for thousands of learners at multiple levels in leadership development, innovation, transformation, service excellence, stakeholder consultation, strategic communication, well-being, and inclusion. He is licensed and deeply experienced with Insights Discovery, DISC (Personality Insights) and 360* Feedback (PSC).

For nine years, Danl grew and directed delivery of millions of dollars in consulting and training services for 100 Canadian client organizations to strengthen organizational effectiveness through psycho-social health, human resource strategies, and organizational development. Following a decade in communication and training on Parliament Hill, he developed and led a two-year capacity-building program for elected officials in a newly democratic African government.

He has led his unionized staff through workforce adjustment, headed a two-year culture-change initiative following fatal shootings at a local utility, and revitalized a local social service organization wrestling with failing morale, funding, capacity and focus. He has advised federal Deputy Ministers, entrepreneurs, and the leaders of non-governmental organizations on lessons learned, and served on provincial ministers’ advisory and quasi-judicial boards.

Danl is a committed advocate for lifelong learning — as well as for inclusion through bridgebuilding rather than judging others for where they are on their own learning curve. He holds a B.A. in Political Science and is himself an ongoing learner in human dynamics, languages, and keeping his dog off the bed.
